An illustration represents a concept or subject of a story implicitly. I draw these illustrations to explain some incidents or situations.
Lemon patterns
I drew an illustration mixing two different styles to show the freshness of lemons.

This illustration is of strawberry patterns. I used oil painting and line drawing techniques.
What is FAANG?
As a novice investor in a stock market, you need to acquire knowledge and words about it. One of the words is FAANG that refers to the top five individual high-growth tech stocks: Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google (Alphabet). This illustration represents what is FAANG to make people understand easily on the first page. I created each companies’ logo to look like notes.
Black activist cropped out
The associated press, a US new agency cropped out Uganda climate activist Vanessa Nakate from a photo. In the original photo, there were five climate experts including Vanessa. When the associated press published edited photo cropped out only Vanessa weirdly. Vanessa now understood "the definition of the word racism" for the first time in her life. the AP's director of photography told that it's because of the under a tight deadline. Many people supported and made voices this action is ashamed. The AP changed the cropped photo to the original after being blamed. (The Guardian - 25 January 2020)
Bankruptcy of oldest British department store
One of Britain’s oldest department store has collapsed into administration. In 2019, Beale reported a loss of £3.1m. It's not only this department store's problem but also John Lewis stores were down 2% of Christmas sales. Independent retail analyst Richard Hyman said many department stores faced competition from other stores and online rivals. Some of the others are progressing. JD Sports and Next expect to report its profit will be better (BBC News - 20 January 2020).
Swimming gear
One of my favourite hobbies is swimming. It makes my stress relieved and healthy. For the beginner, I draw an illustration regarding swimming gear you need to prepare. Some of them are optional but if you have them, they will be helpful for your swimming practice and hygiene. Also, before you go to the swimming pool, I hope you check what you need to avoid in the swimming pool.
